Buttock Enhancement with Silicone Implants
Another option is the placement of silicone implants. This is generally performed under general anaesthesia and may require a 24-hour clinic stay. The implants are introduced through an incision in the gluteal cleft and positioned according to the surgical plan. A compression garment is worn for four weeks, and sitting or lying on the back is avoided for ten days.
Minimally Invasive Options and Expected Course
Volume and contour may also be addressed with hyaluronic acid or poly-L-lactic acid injections and PDO or PLLA threads. These applications are performed in the clinic with local anaesthetic cream.
Changes develop progressively over the following two weeks and may last approximately one to one and a half years. Technique selection, suitability and risks are assessed individually by the plastic surgeon.
